The IT Dept charges

The success of The IT Dept over the past year has been extremely gratifying and exceptionally positive for all of us. However, as we have carried out a year-end audit we have realised that some clients are on different contracts to others, and many are paying various different rates. To address this issue we wish to standardise our contracts and our rates. You can be sure that this does not mean your costs are going to increase. In most cases they are going to decrease! All price changes will take effect from Sept 1st 2009.

We now have three main offerings, (all costs are ex-VAT and subject to change at our discretion):

1. Emergency Call-Out:

Call us out for just £25.00 for the first 15 minutes, plus £49.50 per hour thereafter. In that first 15 minutes we will diagnose the problem and, if we can't also fix it, we will determine how long and therefore how much it will take to repair.

All work is covered by a "No-Fix, No-Fee" agreement, (excluding the "Call-Out" charge.).

2. On-Site Support Contracts

Our On-Site Support Contracts provide a set number of hours support per month on your site, (minimum of only 2 hours per month). This proactive approach offers you the most efficient support and reduces the chances of sudden failure of your computer systems.

As well as fixing your problems, we will continuously check, tweak and update your systems to ensure that the possibility of unexpected downtime is minimised.

We charge per hour of support required, and we spend all of those hours on your site each month, or in remote support - as you wish. "Contracted Hours" cost just £35.00 per hour, with any additional non-contracted hours at £45.00 per hour.

Our On-Site Support Contract offers many benefits, including:
  • Contracted hours at reduced rates
  • No call-out fees for "out-of-contract" calls
  • Hours can be either regular visits or emergency call-outs
  • Remote support included
  • Priority response

3. Remote Support Contracts.

For a fixed monthly cost per PC we offer unlimited telephone and unlimited remote support to your organisation. (Remote support is limited to 15 minutes per remote call).

If we can't fix the problem remotely we shall need to make a site visit. This would be charged at our Standard Hourly rate of £49.50 per hour, (the call-out charge does not apply.)

This option is ideal for smaller businesses, with from 1 to 5 PCs. (If you have more PCs, or if you have a server, you are likely to find the On-Site Support Contract a better option.)

Remote Support Contracts are charged per PC at the following rates:

1 or 2 PCs @ £14.99 per PC

3 or 4 PCs @ £12.99 per PC

5 or more PCs @ £9.99 per PC
